Description
The Jefferson Memorial was officially dedicated on April 13, 1943 — the 200th anniversary of Jefferson's birthday. One of the last American public monuments in the Beaux-Arts tradition. As a National Memorial it was administratively listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1966.
