Originally planned for the 4th "Bundesgartenschau" back in 1957 and still almost unchanged, the Rheinpark in Cologne is a unique example of landscape gardening in Germany that time. The location adds to the overall impression: On the left bank of the river Rhine, visitors view the city's silhouette (Cathedral, St. Kunibert). You can even cross the Rhine with a cable car. 2007, Rheinpark Cologne was elected Germany's most beautiful park.
