Kö-Galerie is named after its famous location at Düsseldorf's Königsallee and houses one of the most exclusive and renowned shopping malls in Germany. It was designed and owned by Walter Brune who brought the concept of shopping malls to Germany. Kö-Galerie changed hands in July 2006 when it was bought by a joint venture between the investment bank Merrill Lynch and Hamburg-based ECE. Eurohypo took the whole transaction as mandated arranger.
