Description

The former quays lie as a continuous open band between the functional density of the wharves and the bustling waterside. This basic pattern of the public domain is interspersed with distinctive spatial structures. The tracing of the quay edges evokes a recollection of the long use as a seaport. It forms a unity together with the band of light and the promenade and runs once around HafenCity.
