Leopoldo Pérez Díaz, a businessman from Venezuela had this building built in 1911. It has been painted and decorated by Luis "La Tora". In the 70s, Jürgen Fischer, bought it and he opened a hotel. It was then when it was nicknamed "Casa Roja" (The Red House) due to its red colour. After overcoming some difficulties, the Town Hall of Mazo bought it and had it restored between 1994 and 1996 to give it its original interior.
