It should be mentioned that today's Barcelona Pavilion is a reconstruction, as the original pavilion was disassembled after the closure of the Barcelona International Exhibition 1930. Nevertheless, it's a must-see for everyone interested in modern architecture.

The Barcelona Pavilion, a work emblematic of the Modern Movement, has been exhaustively studied and interpreted as well as having inspired the oeuvre of several generations of architects. Built from glass, travertine and different kinds of marble. The Pavilion was dismantled at the end of the exhibition of 1929, but a replica has since been built on the same site (1988).
