Aachen has one of the most impressive cathedrals I've ever seen. It's on the Unesco list of World Heritage. You can have a 360° view inside: http://aachendom.de/index323-0.aspx

This historical cathedral of Aachen was partly built in the 8th (!) century. Because it was extended several times, the cathedral is a great mixture of styles. The treasury of the cathedral is the gown which was worn by Maria at the birth of her son, and in which Christ was wrapped in. It is shown from the top of the cathedral to the pilgrims every 7 years.
