The Gherkin was built on a site where the Baltic Exchange was bombed and by the IRA in 1992.
The Gherkin then opened its gates in 2004.
Also called "The Gherkin"...sometimes even "Love Gherkin"....don't ask me why ;)
This Norman Foster design has quickly become part of the London skyline.
This is a true masterpiece of Sir Foster. David Littlejohn of Wallstreet Journal called it "the most ingenious and elegant new scyscraper built anywhere in the world for at least 30 years".
