The Olympiastadium in Munich was an excellent athletics stadium but not a modern soccer arena. So there is now the Allianz Arena so the Olympiastadium can rest in piece now..

The basis (picture 4) was built by romans centuries ago. It is preserved and can be entered by anyone for free.

The HafenCity is not a single building, it is a whole concept area for new buildings. The location is very beautiful and unfortunately also expensive. I would live there if i had the money for..

Für den Hafenpark wird ein Ideenwettbewerb ausgeschrieben. Erste Ideen aus dem Amt für Grünflächen gehen in Richtung Skateranlage oder Bolzplatz. Auch eine Tartanbahn für Jogger ist im Gespräch. Zieltermin für den ersten Spatenstich: Herbst 2010 oder Frühjahr 2011.

Hi Kathy! I wish we could see some "real time" developments of the stadium. I like the futuristic design of the stadium expansion and the bright colors.

Die Kosten für den Bau des Stadions wurden zwar bei 60 Mio Euro gedeckelt, die Bürgerinitiative befürchtet aber bereits jetzt, dass diese Kosten deutlich überschritten werden.

Wegen der Auswirkungen auf Klima und Finanzlage der Stadt Mainz sowie wegen der Folgen für die Landwirtschaft in Mainz-Bretzenheim formiert sich Widerstand gegen den den Bau der Coface Arena. Organisiert ist der Protest in der Bürgerinitiative "Ein sinnvolles Stadion für Mainz".

500th Urban Item

The "Eiswerder Riverside Promenade" is the 500th urban item in ourbania. I am happy to see, that it is such a beautiful project in one of my personal favorite cities. I always envied the way that the people of Berlin could and did take advanage of their waterways. Many beaches and promenades are filled with people during the day and at night.
Looks like this will be a great addition to Berlin's waterside options.

great atmosphere

The atmosphere in that stadium is just great. Sitting in the upper sections enables you to have a great view on the whole arena; I really recommend to go there and have a look, especially enjoying a game.
