The Town-Hall is the landmark of Hamburg. It has a beautiful, old architecture and symbolize the long tradition of Hamburg.

Every MP's room has this funny window which includes some stairs and a comfortable chair. Here the politicians can escape from hard work and business for a few moments and be inspired by the nice view. Well, that is what I have been told when I was inside.

Derzeit dient das barocke Adelspalais dem Standortkommandanten des Wehrbereichskommandos II als Amtssitz. Das Ensemble steht unter Denkmalschutz. Does anybody have more night shots of the building? Especially the illumination of the walls at night are very interesting. I have seen it at new year's eve and it impresses me every time again.

Recently I saw a group of Englishmen it photographed.
The Mainzer Rathaus complex cost the city Mainz at that time approx. 80 millions DM.
