With the continuing growth of ourbania (we are still curious about what will be the 500th urban item) and its network of real estate people, we thought it was time to step back and think about some valuable features to add.

Also, we found that many first time visitors did not understand what ourbania was all about and what they can do here. That is why we decided to tweak our navigation wording and our claim. But we want to make sure that you like what we are doing, so please: Share your comments on the proposed changes and take the poll on the ourbania home page...

NEW FEATURES
We will send out a bi-monthly newsletter with infos about ourbania, new features, and latest additions.
You can subscribe by going to "My Profile" > "Edit Account" and checking the respective box all the way in the bottom.

Private messaging is now available between ourbania members. You can exchange messages through the platform and - if you want - receive e-mail notifications for new messages.

Your company information is now required when creating a new profile. We believe that this will facilitate networking among real estate professionals and make the network more meaningful. So if you haven't done so yet, please go ahead and add you company info under "My Profile" > "Edit Profile".

An "Options" box has been added to your profile page. It contains access to all options in that area, such as editing profile and account, or access to private messaging. You will find it in the right column on all "My Profile" pages.

NEW WORDING
"Urban Items" and "Citizens" do not seem to work for everybody. Many visitors do not understand what they are. So we are thinking about these changes:

"Projects" shall be the new title for "Urban Items" because they really are real estate projects.

"People" is our suggested replacement for "Citizens".
We feel this sounds less abstract and represents the fact that the network consists of just that - people.

"The real estate network" will be our new claim.
Do you agree that this is more to the point than the current "We are built by buildings"?
