Hi ourbania members! There is a lot of positive change going on within the ourbania community. Please check out the following update!

New! Online Community Manager

My name is Rachel, and I am the new Online Community Manager for ourbania. I am from the USA but live in Germany. I am excited about exploring all your new Projects and about adding some of my own. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or any additional suggestions or innovative ideas that you may have for the ourbania community.

Poll: The Results are In!

Thank you for your participation in the recent ourbania poll! We asked you if you liked our new suggestions for wording changes for the ourbania site, and you voted “YES!”. Therefore, we are changing our wording so it is more easily understandable. We are replacing:

Citizens = People
Urban Items = Projects

Thank you for your help in improving our community!

New! Slogan

We are changing our slogan to make it more appropriate for you, our users. Our “We’re built by buildings” will now become “The Real Estate Network”. We are hoping that the recent changes will increase the clarity of what we are about, real estate enthusiasts.

Features Update:

We are continuously looking for new ways to improve your online experience when using ourbania. Therefore, we have added the following features:

New! Send Private Messages

You can now send private messages to other members! Use this feature to broaden your network. This is a safe way to share information and contact other members without revealing your personal contact information. Please follow these steps to allow private messages:

• Go to “My Profile”
• Click “Edit Account”
• Click checkbox “Allow private messages”
• Click “Submit”

New! View all Projects on a Map

All Projects are now marked on a Google map of the world so others can easily view your Projects by region. Simply click on the “Projects” tab then below that click on the “Map” tab to see a worldview of Projects. You may also choose a specific Tag to refine your list/map results. Please note that at this time we are only able to display up to 100 Projects per map. We are still in the testing phase of this function, so there might be improvements and changes in the future.

New! Link Yourself to Other Existing Projects

Previously on ourbania, members were only able to be associated with the Project that they created. However, now you may edit or change an existing Project, and your name will be linked with that Project. For instance, if one member created a Project but left the “Developer” details blank, I could go and add the “Developer” details myself, then I would be linked Project too. Another option is to simply click the “Link to My Profile” button to get connected faster.

Personal Notes Improved

The Personal Notes feature has been improved so that you are able to showcase your work. You’ll find a list of all projects created or linked by you under “My Profile”. Just click on “Add Notes”, and you can show others your personal connection to that project. For instance, if you were the Real Estate Agent for a Project, you may enter that information under the “Add Notes” function.
