Just back from Berlin, I thought you might be interested in this event: In the course of a special exhibition, the Academie of Arts in Berlin illustrates the planning history of Interbau 1957 and the famous Hansaviertel with its 35 buildings.

Among the architects were the leading names of 1957, for example Alvar Aalto, Paul Baumgarten, Egon Eiermann, Walter Gropius, Arne Jacobsen, Oscar Niemeyer, Max Taut. Apart from the architecture, an interesting aspect of the "City of Tomorrow" (that's how it was called at that time) was the political demonstration of the western countries opposite to the "Stalin-Allee" in East-Berlin.
